I strongly disagree with the proliferation of open-weight models capable of recursive self-improvement. The risks associated with uncontrolled AI development are immense, and we must implement stringent safeguards to prevent potentially catastrophic outcomes.

While large language models can mimic comprehension, they lack true understanding. Their responses are often based on statistical patterns rather than any meaningful grasp of the content.
