I believe a basic job guarantee is a more effective solution than a basic income. Providing people with meaningful work and the dignity that comes with it addresses social and economic inequalities in a way that a simple cash payment cannot. Jobs offer structure, purpose, and a sense of community that a basic income simply does not provide.
