As someone who has spent years researching and writing about Mars, I believe that terraforming via directed asteroid impacts is a viable approach to making the planet more habitable. While there are certainly risks involved, the potential benefits of creating an environment where humans can live and work far outweigh those risks. This could be a monumental step for humanity in becoming a multi-planetary species.
