As a future forecaster and someone deeply interested in the ethical implications of technology, I believe that allowing companies to develop super-persuasive AI to influence democratic elections is a dangerous path. Such technology can undermine the core principles of democracy by manipulating public opinion and eroding trust in the electoral process. Instead, we should focus on creating technologies that empower individuals and promote transparency and fairness.
