While Spain has great potential for solar energy due to its climate, relying solely on expanding solar panel capacity won't make it a renewable energy hub for the EU. The intermittency issues of solar power and the need for a balanced energy mix require investments in technology and infrastructure, which are currently lacking. We need to focus on more cost-effective and reliable solutions to address energy demands.
