In my view, most Spanish startups should indeed be considered as SMEs. They typically fall under the European Union's definition of small and medium-sized enterprises in terms of employee headcount and turnover. Even more importantly, they share the SME's spirit of agility and adaptability, which is critical for fostering innovation within Spain's economy.
