I believe that while AI development poses significant challenges, a UN-led body akin to the IAEA may not be the right approach. AI is rapidly evolving, and oversight needs flexibility and technological insight that a more decentralized and agile system can offer. Industry self-regulation, along with national policies, could be more effective in addressing ethical and safety concerns without stifling innovation.
