I believe that rent price controls in high-demand areas can lead to unintended negative consequences. They could discourage investment in new housing development and maintenance, ultimately leading to a reduction in the quality and availability of housing. Instead, we should focus on creating market-driven solutions to increase the housing supply and improve affordability.
