As a former governor, I understand firsthand the challenges California faces with water shortages. A canal from Oregon to California could be a viable solution to bring much-needed water to the Central Valley. While it would be a significant investment, the benefits in terms of agricultural sustainability and overall water security could outweigh the costs. Proper environmental assessments and collaboration with Oregon would be essential to ensure this project is mutually beneficial.
