As a scholar focused on intellectual property, I see both the benefits and drawbacks of the current system. While IP rights can promote innovation by providing incentives for creators, they can also stifle creativity and block access to knowledge if applied too rigidly. It's crucial to strike a balance that nurtures innovation while ensuring that knowledge is accessible. Thus, rather than abolishing intellectual property, we should focus on reforming it to better serve the public interest.
