While I support reviewing and eliminating outdated regulations, a one-size-fits-all policy to eliminate an old law every time we pass a new one is not practical. Each law should be evaluated on its individual merit and necessity.

Maintaining large stockpiles of essentials for emergencies is not the most effective strategy. It can lead to wastage and a false sense of security. Instead, we should focus on building resilient systems and empowering local communities to respond to crises quickly.

Putting expiration dates on new laws would compel Congress to review them periodically, ensuring their relevance and effectiveness. It can prevent outdated or forgotten legislation from lingering indefinitely.
