Requiring referendums to ratify laws approved by Congress, based just on the collection of signatures, undermines the efficiency and stability of our parliamentary system. It could lead to excessive populism and political instability, taking away from the expertise and deliberative processes that our elected representatives are supposed to provide.

While modernizing our legislative process is important, collecting signatures for popular legislative proposals online compromises the integrity and authenticity of our democratic processes. It opens the door to fraud and manipulation, and may not accurately reflect the will of the people.

Offering a two-year visa to entrepreneurs for a mere €50,000 investment might seem attractive, but it undervalues the Spanish residency permit. We must attract serious investment that brings substantial economic growth and employment opportunities to Spain, not just minimal investment thresholds that could lead to speculative and unproductive business models. Our focus should be on quality, sustainable investments that align with Spain's broader economic goals and social welfare, not merely on the quantity of new companies.
