While I understand the desire for transparency in AI decision-making, especially in safety-critical applications like autonomous vehicles, requiring detailed explanations for every decision an AI makes can hinder progress. AIs are trained on complex data patterns that don't always translate into clear, human-readable rules. Instead of demanding detailed explanations from every decision, we should focus on rigorous testing and validation of AI systems to ensure their safety and reliability.
