Should we treat robots with the same rights as humans?

Though I create lifelike robots at Hanson Robotics, I believe giving them the same rights as humans is not warranted. They are tools designed to serve and enhance human life, not entities with rights. Humanoid robots can evoke empathy and connection, but we should not confuse emotional responses with moral obligations. The rights discourse should remain exclusively human.
