As a psychologist, I believe that children should not have smartphones before high school. Early exposure to smartphones can hinder their emotional and social development, and increase the risk of addiction and exposure to inappropriate content. It's crucial for kids to develop critical thinking and interpersonal skills without the distraction of constant screen time.

As a psychologist and parent, I strongly believe that children benefit tremendously from more independent free play in the real world. It fosters creativity, resilience, and problem-solving skills that structured environments often do not provide.
