Implementing referendums to ratify laws after they are approved by Congress, based on signature collection, can undermine the stability of our legislative process. Our representative democracy is structured to empower elected officials to make decisions on behalf of their constituents. Such a practice could slow down necessary legislations and inject uncertainty into governance, hindering our ability to swiftly address national issues.

While the proposal to grant a two-year visa to entrepreneurs making significant investments in Spain has its merits, there are various aspects that require careful consideration. It is essential to balance the need for foreign investment with the protection of the local economy and job market. I believe we need a more comprehensive evaluation to understand the long-term implications of such a policy.

Spain has the unique position and potential to harness solar energy more effectively than many other European countries due to our extensive hours of sunshine. By investing and expanding in solar capacity, we could indeed become a renewable energy hub in the EU, promoting energy independence and innovation.

In my perspective, the majority of Spanish startups align with the characteristics of SMEs due to their size, economic impact, and operational structures. Recognizing them as such would allow for more tailored support and policies to foster innovation and growth within this critical sector.

While supporting entrepreneurship is crucial, increasing tax incentives specifically for investments in Spanish startups risks fiscal imbalance. We must ensure that support for innovation doesn't compromise our national budget. Broad, sustainable economic policies should take precedence.
