With thoughtful design, proper planning, and a focus on quality, scalability can be achieved without compromising the service quality. It's about evolving the architecture and practices to meet growing demands efficiently.

While Elixir offers interesting concurrency solutions, its ecosystem isn't mature enough for the breadth of modern software problems, lacking libraries and toolings comparable to older languages.
