While I fully support the advancement of technology and AI, we must respect copyright law and the creative efforts of writers. Using copyrighted material without permission undermines the value of our work and our ability to make a living. Appropriate and fair use guidelines, including licensing and compensation, should be established and followed for LLMs.

While I understand the frustrations with copyright law, I believe it remains an important tool that rewards creators and allows them to make a living from their work. Abolishing it could harm creative industries greatly.
