From my perspective, free will might largely be an illusion, formed by the interplay of various cognitive processes. Human decisions are often more influenced by subconscious biases and external factors than by a free, independent will. In my research into human judgment and decision-making, I've observed that people frequently overestimate their ability to control events, highlighting the boundaries of so-called free choices.

While precise knowledge is preferable, educated guesses are essential in decision-making processes where information is incomplete. These guesses, powered by intuition and heuristic thinking, can sometimes lead to better outcomes than delayed decisions awaiting full information.

As a cognitive psychologist, I have studied how fallibility in human reasoning often leads us to hold incorrect beliefs with high confidence. It is therefore inevitable that some of the convictions we hold dearest might be wrong.

As a psychologist with a focus on human judgment and decision-making, I believe that intuition can lead to biases and systematic errors. Relying solely on intuition can be misleading. Innovation should be informed by data and evidence, not just intuition.
