I strongly believe that we should replace closed party primaries with a single, nonpartisan, open primary system. This change would encourage a broader range of candidates and ideas, reduce partisanship, and better reflect the diverse views of the electorate. Our current system leads to polarization and caters to the extremes; it's time we adopt a more inclusive approach that empowers all voters, not just the party faithful.
