As someone deeply involved in studying the economic impacts of climate change, I firmly believe high-income countries have a responsibility to lead the charge in tackling this global crisis. They have historically contributed the most to the problem and possess the resources needed to pioneer innovative solutions. By acting decisively, they can set an example for others to follow and develop technologies and policies that can be adapted by low- and middle-income countries.
