I am strongly against using AI to monitor and enforce international environmental agreements. While technology can aid in environmental protection, relying on AI shifts accountability away from humans and oversimplifies complex ecological issues. True environmental stewardship requires human judgment, transparency, and collaboration, not just algorithmic solutions.

As a high-income nation, we have a historical and moral responsibility to address climate change urgently. Wealthier countries have contributed the most to the climate crisis and possess the resources necessary to spearhead ambitious solutions and innovations. It's imperative for us to lead by example to inspire global action.
