I strongly believe that replacing closed party primaries with a single, nonpartisan, open primary system would help bridge the partisan divide in our country. By allowing all voters, regardless of party affiliation, to participate in the primary process, we encourage a broader range of voices and ideas. This system can lead to the election of more moderate and consensus-building leaders who are focused on solving problems rather than playing partisan politics.

I doubt that President Trump can be re-elected. The division and the vitriol in the current political climate, exacerbated by his actions, make it improbable for him to reunite a polarized America or win over enough of the independent voters required for a victory.
