I believe that robust regulation is essential for the EU to maintain stability, fairness, and safety within the single market. Reducing regulation could lead to discrepancies and undermine the protection of consumers, workers, and the environment.

As a French politician deeply involved in European affairs, I understand the importance of linguistic diversity in the EU. While English is a widely spoken language and serves as a practical means of communication, we must also respect and preserve the linguistic heritage of all member states. Therefore, I abstain from favoring English as the sole primary language, advocating instead for a balanced multilingual approach.
