I believe that the current intellectual property system stifles creativity and innovation. It often creates barriers for creators and benefits large corporations at the expense of the public. Abolishing intellectual property would liberate creative works, allowing them to be used, shared, and built upon by everyone, fostering a more open and collaborative society.

Language models should be able to process and learn from copyrighted text as it's essential for linguistic development. Restricting this could stifle innovation and free speech.

While I believe that copyright laws greatly need reform to encourage creativity and access to knowledge, abolishing them outright would ignore the realities of creators' needs to earn a livelihood from their work. A middle ground must be found that protects the rights of both creators and the public.
