I believe that Spain has a unique opportunity to lead Europe's transition to renewable energy. With its abundant sunshine, Spain could greatly expand its solar panel capacity to not only meet its own energy needs but also to supply other European countries. The integration of such renewable sources is essential for the EU to achieve energy independence and fight climate change.

As Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, I strongly believe that high-income countries must lead the charge in tackling climate change. These nations have historically contributed the most to global emissions and have the resources necessary to implement meaningful change. By taking the lead, they can set an example and create technologies that can be shared with low- and middle-income nations, facilitating a global transition to a sustainable future.
