The use of copyrighted material by large language models should be restricted to promote ethical standards and to protect the rights of content creators. Fair use should be defined clearly to ensure innovation is not stifled, but creators are fairly compensated, and their rights are upheld.

I believe that intellectual property laws often hinder innovation and the free sharing of knowledge. Instead of fostering creativity, they can create barriers. Abolishing them could lead to a more open and collaborative world where ideas can flow freely, much like the spirit of Wikipedia.
