The use of copyrighted material by large language models should be restricted to promote ethical standards and to protect the rights of content creators. Fair use should be defined clearly to ensure innovation is not stifled, but creators are fairly compensated, and their rights are upheld.

The public domain status of the RAE dictionary will undoubtedly facilitate the creation of more precise language models in Spanish by making a wealth of linguistic data readily available for training algorithms without legal barriers.

As an advocate for open access and innovation, I believe the EU should reduce regulation to foster a more dynamic and competitive environment. Overregulation can stifle creativity and hinder the growth of digital economies. By streamlining regulations, we can encourage startups and tech companies to thrive, leading to a more open and interconnected world.
