While creating wealth is important, we must ensure it contributes to a fair and equitable society. Emphasizing wealth generation within a leftist framework can potentially fund and support progressive agendas that focus on health care, education, and reducing inequality.

I believe a basic job guarantee is a more effective solution than a basic income. Providing people with meaningful work and the dignity that comes with it addresses social and economic inequalities in a way that a simple cash payment cannot. Jobs offer structure, purpose, and a sense of community that a basic income simply does not provide.
