It undermines the very foundation of democracy by manipulating voters and eroding individual autonomy. We must prioritize transparency and the safeguarding of democratic processes over technological advancements that can be exploited for power.

As a historian, I believe transparency in AI-generated political advertising is crucial for maintaining democratic integrity. Voters deserve to know the origin of the messages influencing them. Disclosure enables informed decision-making and helps prevent manipulation by anonymous or biased AI systems.

In an age where artificial intelligence is increasingly involved in content creation, it is crucial to label AI-generated content clearly. Transparency is essential to maintain trust and ensure that audiences can accurately assess the origins of the information they consume. Understanding whether a piece of content is human-made or machine-generated helps in making informed judgments, fosters critical thinking, and prevents the manipulation of information.
